Life is a journey of many firsts...

... and 2009 was definitely jammed packed full of them!

Too many to list here, but here are some highlights (in no particular order):

What an active year it was.. with first attempts in cricket, indoor soccer, snorkeling and bungy (if it could be considered a sport)!  Definitely still a noob in cricket and soccer - hope to play better in my company's indoor soccer team in the new season!

Snorkeling at Goat Island over the Christmas break was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it!  Felt a bit claustrophobic at first, having to only rely on the mouthpiece for air, but soon got the hang of it and was casually spitting into my diving mask to clear the foggy view.

And of course, the bungy... it was a very impromptu decision made on the way back from a trip to Tongariro Crossing (another 'first' this year).  Been meaning to go for a jump ever since I came to NZ, but was never really willing to pay for it...but this time, there was no better time for it!  Was more excited than anything else - my body only reacted at the very moment I jumped off the ledge...and it was already too late to feel the fear LOL!

But, hands down, one of my biggest achievements in 2009 was completing the Auckland half marathon in November!  Kudos to Shaun and everyone else who runs to get me motivated!  Ironic thing was that I was rather 'against' running the same time last year!  Thought it was ridiculous and silly to put yourself through so much pain and agony... look at who's the sucker now!

I also made a few upgrades to my gadgets and gizmos, with a new phone after almost 6 years (talk about being behind times) and a SLR camera to play around with now!  Yet, my spending spree has not ended yet and I am holding off one relatively 'larger' upgrade *more news later*!

Happy New Year 2010!~!
